Exploring the Grand Canyon

Over the last two days, we explored the South Rim of the Grand Canyon from end to end and experienced some of the most incredible views we’ve ever seen!

On our first day, we rode bikes all the way out to Hermit’s Rest a 30 mile trip, taking in overlook after overlook along the rim. The ride gave us a chance to slow down and really appreciate the massive scale and beauty of the canyon from so many different perspectives.

Our favorite stop of the trip was the Desert View Watchtower on the eastern edge of the South Rim. Built in 1932, the tower was designed by architect Mary Colter to resemble the ancient stone watchtowers created by the Ancestral Puebloan people. Standing nearly 70 feet tall, it offers breathtaking panoramic views, and the artwork and stone details inside make it feel like stepping back in time.

Between the scenic drives, overlooks, bike ride, and endless canyon views, these last two days have been an unforgettable part of our Grand Canyon adventure.
