We set out this afternoon with plans to hike Inspiration Point, but as often happens on road trips, one unexpected stop changed everything. Along the way, we spotted a sign for Bryce Point and decided to make a quick detour to see what it was all about. That “quick stop” turned into one of our favorite adventures yet.

The moment we stepped into the observation area, we were completely blown away. The views stretched endlessly in every direction, filled with towering Hoodoos, layered rock formations, and colors that almost didn’t seem real. It was one of those moments where your mind struggles to take it all in at once.
Then Cas noticed a hiking trail leading down into the canyon, and just like that, our plans for the day changed.
From the very first steps, the trail delivered incredible views around every corner. We hiked from the rim all the way down to the valley floor, winding through massive rock formations and weaving through the heart of the canyon before climbing back up again. Every section of the trail felt completely different from the last, making it impossible to stop taking photos.
By the end of the hike, we had covered 5.7 miles round trip and captured hundreds of photos and videos of Hoodoos in every shape and size imaginable. It truly felt like walking through another world.
On the climb back up, we took a much-needed break with apple slices and a chocolate muffin, which turned out to be the perfect trail snack and energy boost for the final stretch.
After making it back to the truck, we stopped at a couple more overlooks before heading to the visitor center to refill our water bottles. From there, we picked up a few groceries and made our way back to camp.
The evening ended exactly how a great camping day should — relaxing in our recliners, soaking in the cool air and memories from the hike, before making tacos for dinner and settling in for the night.
