Last week, I saw that Barry Manilow was heading to Spokane for a one-night concert, his last in Spokane. I called Deb and asked if she wanted to get tickets for the three of us to see him as a Mother’s Day gift for Mom; she was all in. The last time we saw him live would have been in 1985 when he performed at the Concord Pavilion and used our high school choir as a backup for the song One Voice. As a little kid, Mom would always play his records, so listening to him always brings me back. I have heard his music off and on for well over forty-five years now, and to see him live one last time will be so special for all of us.
