We started Christmas with breakfast at Mom’s house, and to everyone’s surprise, we were the second to arrive. Once everyone arrived, we did our white elephant exchange, and for the first time, no one exchanged their gifts. While we waited for breakfast to cook, we had cocoa and cinnamon rolls and got caught up with the family.

After breakfast, it was time for the gift exchange. Last year, we started a new tradition of picking a name and being Santa for that person. After a family photo, everyone headed back home, and in a few hours, they would be at our place for a birthday dinner.

We surprised everyone with steak and potatoes for dinner and it was a hit for sure. After dinner we exchanged birthday gifts for Deb, Morgan and Cas and that wrapped up our Christmas day.
