Trust in the trusts

With rain in the forecast, we needed to get the trusts started. They are the mainframe that the design is built around, and each has a ton of pieces that all need to fit together for the entire structure to work. Each span has between 73 and 80 bolts at various points to secure it to itself. We again used the three-board method for the base not only to provide strength but also to cover the distance that we needed.

Like any project, the first is always the hardest as you figure out the details. Is the spacing correct? I need this to be here; how will that align with the other sections? If I place a bolt here, then I cannot add additional screws, and the list goes on. But by Saturday night, we had worked through the details and had completed the first trust, and Cas could see his design taking shape.
