After learning about pickleball late last year and only playing a couple of games, we challenged ourselves to play as much as possible this year, and so far, it’s been a good year.

Most of our games are just us playing, as we tend to go later in the day/night when it fits our schedule. We play for fun and try to keep things light, but we also like to grow and learn more skills, so we watch the other players a lot.

Others have asked to play against us, which is so different from the one-on-one we are used to. We always tell them we are just learning, and most of the time, they are generous with feedback and tips. So far, our longest session this year has been almost four hours of playing, and we were sore after that, lol. We will be taking a cruise later in the summer, and they have pickleball courts. We are so excited to play out at sea.
