After sleeping in and having breakfast, we headed out of the park to visit family in Washington, Utah. Sharon and Phil were thrilled to have us for the night, and shortly after we arrived, we were off to explore their town. We stopped by a local Botanical Garden, hiked Snow Canyon, and checked out Tuacahn Amphitheater before lunch.
Once back home, we explored the neighborhood and played on the private pickleball court located a block away before heading off to bed.
The next morning, after breakfast, we took a hike up the hill at the end of the street, which gave us a beautiful view of the area. We said our goodbyes, and at Phil’s suggestion, we stopped at Kolob Canyon on our way back to Zion.
Kolob was 25 minutes away so we headed over to check it out. The Taylor Creek hike took us 3.5 hours to complete and was beautiful. We passed two cabins from the 1930s with the trail ending at the Kolob Arch. Since it had arch in the name we were expecting something that would have been found at Arches National Park, but an alcove more realistic of a name, still a fun hike. We followed the road to a few overlooks, then headed back to camp
