Camping at Zion National Park

It was a long drive overnight, especially through Montana and back into Idaho, so Cas fuelled up with a Yeti full of coffee for the ride. As we were getting close to Utah border the road was blocked with down powerlines, but we only waited 15 minutes before the traffic was moving again. We stopped somewhere to refuel and had McDonald’s for breakfast. As we got into Salt Lake City, we remembered how fast everyone drives on the freeway, and damn it, there’s an In and Out burger, we will be sure and stop on the way home.

We arrived to a warm day here in the park, and after setting up camp, we finally had a nice meal and took off on the bikes to do a little exploring of the area. The sight is really nice but it does get all the afternoon sun, so the canopy really helped keep the heat down. We talked about getting firewood, but we never use it so we passed on that. After the ride we were so exhausted from the drive that we headed to bed and slept almost 12 hours.
