We had planned to travel up to Whistler mountain today and check out some waterfalls along the way. We were a quarter of the way there when the navigator said crash ahead, and rerouted us to a seven hour drive. We stayed on the original freeway until we came to a complete stop, and after twenty minutes, we turned off to a park and found out there was a motorcycle accident, both lanes were closed and a helicopter was being brought in. Around 11:30 we headed back, and when we checked later on the road, it was expected to open around 3:00 pm.
After the morning drive, we headed back to the Airbnb and headed out for a ride. The owners wanted to learn all about the bikes and told us where to find the trail along the waterfront.
We followed the trail until it went onto the street so we made our own path and made our way to the home of Expo 86. We continued past it and found another trail to explore.
While exploring the waterfront we were able to make a loop and took a new bride back across the water to head back home for the day. It was a great ride and a fun way to wrap up our last vacation day. Now we need to come back and check out Whistler Mountain.
