Picture it Spring of 1984 in Hollywood. The family is enjoying a day at Universal Studio Hollywood, and we pass a booth giving away free TV Show tickets. We get four tickets for Cheers! We get in, and I am taking everything in, the set, actors, camera guys, and the director. Fast Forward to the Fall of 1996, and I am a Head Page on the sitcom Pearl; who do I see? James Burrows, and later, while working on Will & Grace, there he is again. He was terrific to watch direct, always calm and in control. This book was a joy to listen to (I have the audiobook) as he tells his story about working on the TV sitcoms that have shaped my life.
