Yellowstone Trip: Camping at Buffalo Bill State Park

After around 10 hours on the road, we finally made it to our campsite for the week. Usually, we would stay in the national park, but with Covid and all, all the camping around the park’s entrances were booked up.

I searched and searched and found Buffalo Bill State Park in Cody, WY, a 50-minute drive outside the park. When I went to book the reservation, they had only two sites available, we selected site 38 because it didn’t have any other sites near it.

We arrived and were greeted by a lovely lady. She was excited that we were staying the week. She explained how to get to our site and that they have free firewood and to take whatever we needed. She explained where the showers are and that they have Park Library with lots of books.

We found our spot, open the doors and set up our home. With four of us, it went very fast, and after that, we headed back to Cody for dinner, Pizza Hut.
